Kimberly Lawrence-Nobbe

Kimberly Lawrence-Nobbe is a mother, grandmother, and lifelong lover of animals, the outdoors, and a really good story.

Kimberly has always believed that the best gift you can give a child is a book — and the imagination to make it come alive. Whether she is tending to her seven horses, two dogs, and four cats on the family farm, or reading to her two grandsons, she has always been surrounded by the creatures and the people who inspire her most.

Lucas Likes Lions is her debut children’s book, written with a simple and heartfelt purpose: to inspire young children to read, to explore, and to see the world as a place full of wonder — one zoo, one story, one roar at a time.

She lives with her husband and two nephews and is the proud mother of two grown daughters and grandmother to two boys who she hopes will always love books as much as she does.

For Kimberly, storytelling has always been more than words on a page — it has been a way to connect generations, spark curiosity, and create memories that last a lifetime. Inspired by family adventures, nature, and the joy she sees in children discovering something new, her stories are written to encourage imagination and meaningful moments between parents, grandparents, and young readers.

Her love for animals and outdoor life shines through in every page of Lucas Likes Lions. Growing up surrounded by nature taught Kimberly the importance of wonder, kindness, and exploration — values she hopes every child carries with them long after the story ends.

Through her writing, Kimberly hopes to inspire children to put down screens for a moment, open a book, and dive into worlds filled with adventure, laughter, and learning. She believes reading helps children build confidence, creativity, and compassion while creating special bonding moments with loved ones.

When she is not writing, Kimberly enjoys spending time on the farm with her family, caring for her animals, and creating new memories with her grandsons — the very inspiration behind her stories.
